Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about IT Equipment Rental

Q. What is the difference between Renting and Leasing?
A. The main difference is who owns the equipment.
   With leasing a 3rd party leasing company owns the equipment and allows you, the end user, to use it.
   With renting we, Computer Business Services, retain ownership so we can be more flexible in the service we offer you.

Q. How long is the rental period?
A. 24 months minimum.

Q. What happens at the end of the 24 months?
A. Afterwards customers choose one of the following:-

  • Continue to pay on a monthly basis until you decide otherwise OR
  • Renew for a further period of 24 months at 67% of the original rental price. OR
  • Renew the equipment and start a new 24 month rental contract OR
  • Return the equipment and stop paying.
  • Buy the equipment outright.

Q. What happens if the equipment breaks down?
A. Easy we’ll send an engineer to fix it and if we can’t fix it then we’ll replace it, it’s all in the price

Q. Is the price inclusive of V.A.T?
A. No, all prices are subject to V.A.T. @ 17.5%

Q. What responsibility do the customers/end user have?
A. 
The equipment remains the property of Computer Business Services at all times and is the responsibility of the customer to ensure it is used safely, kept secure and insured for loss, accidental damage & theft.
